How to use Image Resizer & Cropper

2. Type the target Width (px) and Height (px) you want for the resized image (each is rounded to a whole number, minimum 1).

What image formats can I resize?

Any image your browser can open (the dropzone accepts image/*), including PNG, JPEG, and WebP. The result keeps the original format if it was JPEG or WebP; everything else, such as PNG, is exported as PNG.

Does resizing keep the aspect ratio?

Yes, if you set Lock ratio to 'Locked' (the default). Then editing Width auto-calculates Height (and vice versa) from the original proportions so the image never looks stretched. Choose 'Free' when you need exact, independent width and height values.

Will resizing reduce image quality?

The tool uses high-quality canvas scaling to preserve detail, and JPEG/WebP output is saved at 0.92 quality (PNG is lossless). Enlarging an image beyond its original pixel size cannot add detail that was never captured, so some softness on heavy upscaling is normal.

Is there a file size or dimension limit?

There is no fixed limit set by the tool. Width and height must be at least 1 pixel (and are rounded to whole numbers), and very large images are bounded only by your browser's and device's available memory since all processing happens locally.

Are my images uploaded to a server?
