What is Image Resizer & Cropper?

The deftdeck Image Resizer is a free, client-side batch image resizer that scales photos and graphics right in your browser. Designers, developers, marketers, and anyone preparing avatars, thumbnails, social-media images, or web assets can drop in several images at once and resize them all with the same settings. Choose 'Pixels' to fit every image into an exact width and height, or 'Percent' to scale each image proportionally; use a preset such as Instagram, YouTube, avatar, or favicon sizes, or enter your own. A fit mode (contain, cover, or stretch) decides how each image maps into the target box, high-quality canvas scaling preserves detail, and you can export as the original format or force PNG, JPEG, or WebP with an adjustable quality. Each result has its own zoomable preview and download, and a single button packages the whole batch into a ZIP.

How to use Image Resizer & Cropper

1. Drag and drop one or more images onto the dropzone, or click to select files (PNG, JPEG, WebP, or any image your browser can open) — you can keep adding more.
2. Open the Resize options (gear icon) and choose to resize by Pixels or by Percent.
3. For Pixels, pick a preset (Instagram, YouTube, avatar, favicon, HD, and more) or enter a custom Width and Height, then choose a Fit mode — Contain keeps the whole image inside the box, Cover fills and crops it, Stretch forces the exact size.
4. For Percent, enter a Scale such as 50 or 200 to shrink or enlarge every image proportionally.
5. Choose the output Format — keep the original, or force PNG, JPEG, or WebP — and adjust the Quality slider for JPEG and WebP.
6. Review each resized image in the list (click any thumbnail to zoom), download files individually, or click 'Download all (ZIP)' to save the whole batch.

Can I resize many images at once?

Yes. Drop or select multiple images and they are all resized with the same settings. Each result gets its own preview and download button, and 'Download all (ZIP)' saves the entire batch in one file.

What's the difference between Contain, Cover, and Stretch?

Contain scales each image to fit entirely inside the target width and height while keeping its aspect ratio (no cropping). Cover scales it to fill the whole box and crops the overflow, so the output is exactly the target size. Stretch forces the exact width and height, which may distort the image.

How do the presets and percent mode work?

Presets fill in common sizes such as Instagram 1080×1080, YouTube 1280×720, avatars, favicons, and HD; you can also enter custom dimensions. Percent mode ignores fixed dimensions and instead scales every image by the percentage you enter (for example 50% or 200%).

Which output formats and quality can I choose?

Keep each image in its original format (JPEG and WebP are preserved, everything else becomes PNG), or force PNG, JPEG, or WebP. For the lossy formats JPEG and WebP a Quality slider controls the trade-off between file size and clarity; PNG is always lossless.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Every image is resized 100% in your browser with the HTML canvas, and the ZIP is built locally too. Nothing is ever uploaded to deftdeck or any server.
