How to use Favicon Generator

What image formats can I upload?
You can drop or browse for a single PNG or JPG image. The tool reads that one source image and renders all output sizes from it.
Which favicon sizes does it create?
It outputs five square sizes: 16, 32 and 48 px standard favicons, a 180 px Apple touch icon and a 512 px PWA icon. Each one is a separate PNG file.
Are the icons PNG or ICO files?
Every generated icon is a PNG. The tool produces individual square PNG files for each size rather than a combined ICO file.
Will my image get stretched if it is not square?
No. Each size preserves the original aspect ratio and is centered inside the square using high-quality canvas scaling, with transparent padding filling any leftover space.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
