Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 27, 2026
deftdeck ("deftdeck", "we", "us") provides a collection of free online tools. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle when you use deftdeck and how we protect it. Our guiding principle is simple: your files stay on your device.
1. Our privacy-first approach
The tools on deftdeck run entirely in your web browser. When you convert, edit, or generate files with a tool, that processing happens locally on your device.
Your files and their contents are never uploaded to our servers. We do not receive, store, or have access to the documents, images, or other files you process.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. deftdeck can be used without an account. If you choose to create one, we collect your email address so we can sign you in. If you sign in with Google, we receive the basic profile information described in "Signing in with Google" below.
- Content you save. When you are signed in, you can save workspace presets (the arrangement and settings of the tools you assemble). This configuration data is stored with your account so you can access it again. It does not include the files you process.
- Local storage on your device. To remember your preferences — such as theme, language, notification history, and presets you save while signed out — we use your browser’s local storage and similar technologies. This data stays in your browser.
- Standard technical data. We and our infrastructure providers may process standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) as needed to deliver and secure the service.
3. Signing in with Google
If you choose "Sign in with Google", Google shares basic profile information with us — typically your email address and name — so we can create and identify your account.
We use this information only to authenticate you and operate your account. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect deftdeck from your Google Account at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/connections.
4. How we use information
- To provide and operate the service, including authentication and saving your presets.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
- To communicate with you about your account (for example, sign-in and account-deletion verification emails).
5. How information is shared
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We use trusted third-party providers to operate the service: Supabase (authentication and storage of account data) and an email delivery provider (to send sign-in and verification emails). These providers process data on our behalf.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and browser local storage that are necessary for the site to function — for example, to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Data retention and deletion
- We keep account information for as long as your account exists.
- You can delete your account at any time from the account settings page. Deleting your account removes your account information and saved presets from our systems.
- Preferences stored in your browser can be removed by clearing your browser’s site data.
8. Children’s privacy
deftdeck is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. International users
deftdeck is available worldwide. By using the service, you understand that your information may be processed in countries other than your own.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the service where appropriate.
11. Contact us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at deftdeck-support@googlegroups.com.
